The Dive Club has been formed to give divers the opportunity to meet like-minded people, no matter what their regular training organisation – we welcome happy, safe divers, for events, holidays, trips or simply just to go diving. For our existing members you’ll notice that our club is structured slightly differently this year. Firstly, we no longer have scheduled regular meetings, but have a forum and an ‘open house’ culture, whereby our members are welcome at our dive centres for a chat and a coffee anytime. Also, We have pool sessions at weekends which members can come along to and our occasional visits to HOTA, the offshore training centre and their 5m deep pool. Emphasis will be placed on the use of our forum this year. Club events, updates, training and special offers will be posted here, also any messages and buddy contacts will be provided here. Subsription is £5 each per year, and provides you with membership to Blue Lagoon Diving & Leisure, access to the dive forum and discounted equipment at the dive centres. Use of any of the pools will be charged at £5 per visit, £10 if equipment is required. To join us, simply log onto our website, www.divebluelagoon.com and download a form, (forms can be found on our downloads page), or call into the dive centre to complete a registration form. We will then take your photograph and process your membership card. On receipt of this you will be issued with a number and instructions on accessing the forum, which you can access by logging into www.divebluelagoon.co.uk/thediveclub
We run training courses throughout the year, and have visits to various dive sites around the UK, where many of our less experienced members join us for a day’s diving with the security of having instructors on hand for advice and support. We offer many events, trips and holidays for our members – at least one each month. Some of which include speciality training courses. Our schedule for the coming year, includes favourites like St Abbs Head, for its varied marine life, the Farne Islands – seals, wrecks and more seals!! and the Red Sea.
